Dermal piercing is an implant piercing that is semi permanent. You might have it last up to 2 years but the skin will eventually push it out. Therefore you would have to keep up with repiercing it if it rejects the skin.
Similar look to back dermals but instead being implanted it's being pierced with a staple jewelry to avoid rejection. Using only high quality jewelry G23 Titanium

If you are suffering from a piercing infection/irritation and have a bump, my recommendation is applying a silicone disc on both ends of your piercing. Silicone disc are medical grade and helps reduce and get rid off bumps.
